Windows 10 Dial-Up Setup

Click on the Start button and type in "Dial", choose "Change Dial-up settings".

When the Dial-up windows is open, click "Set up a new connection"

On this page, select "Connect to the Internet" and click "Next"

On this page, select "Dial-up". (If there is no option for Dial-up, then your computer does not have a built-in dial-up modem. You can purchase a USB dial-up modem at your closest computer store. Once you've purchased the USB dial-up modem, start this setup process again and the option should now be available.)

Now, type in the dial-up access number that we provided you when you signed up with us. (If you do not have this number, please click on "Access Numbers" at the top-left of this page and search for the access number that is local to your area.) Type in your Username and Password.

{Your username will need to be in this format: (for WHC users) or (for all other users... e.g. - TexasOnline, USAonline, etc.)}

Make sure that "Remember this password" is checked. Then for "Connection Name:" type in a name for the connection... e.g. - WHC, Hiline, TexasOnline, USAonline,, Caprok,, or BasinLink... this will be whatever your email domain is. If you'd like to share this dial-up connection with any other users that you have setup on this computer, select "Allow other people to use this connection".

Click "Connect" or "Create" ...which ever option your computer gives you.

Your computer will now try to connect to the internet. If it connects, it will tell you that it's connected and you're done... if it doesn't connect and gives you an error, write down the error and give us a call.

To connect the next time, all you need to do is left-click once on the network icon down at the bottom right (usually where a little computer icon shows a red X) and the option for the dial-up connection that you just set up will be right there.

You're done!
