Windows XP Dial-Up Setup

Click on Start and choose Control Panel

Once you're in Control Panel, click on "Network and Internet Connections"

Now, select "Network Connections" at the bottom

On this page, click on "Create a new connection" on the left side under Network Tasks

When the New Connection Wizard opens up, click on "Next" at the bottom

Select "Connect to the Internet", click "Next"

Select "Set up my connection manually", click "Next"

Select, "Connect using a dial-up modem", click "Next"

Now type in the label for the connection... WHC, Hiline, TexasOnline, USAonline, Eaze.net, Caprok, Powr.net, or BasinLink... whatever your email domain is. Now click, "Next"

Type in the dial-up access number that we provided you when you signed up with us. (If you do not have this number, please click on "Access Numbers" at the top-left of this page and search for the access number that is local to your area.) Click "Next"

Type in your Username and Password... then confirm your password below that.

{Your username will need to be in this format: username@whc.net (for WHC users) or username@usaonline.net (for all other users... TexasOnline, USAonline, Eaze.net... etc.)}

Leave all boxes checked on this page and click "Next"

On the "Completing the New Connection Wizard" page, make sure you put a check in "Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop" if you want a shortcut placed on your Desktop for easy connecting. Now, click "Finish" You're done!
